Earth & Sky

Represented by the pergola, the exhibition garden is located in a cultural multidisciplinary center. This cultural site is a central platform for discussion in classical and contemporary art, philosophy and cogitation, science and history, literature and psychology, theater and cinema.

The Inspiration for the development of the design language of the pergola stemmed from the concept of connecting  the sky and the ground as a motif that unifies the multidisciplinary spirit of the cultural center  that  touches on the humanities  (the sky) alongside science and history (the ground).

The pergola surfaces were created in a parametric design based on the Voronoi division. This division expresses the physical principle of dry soil splits.

Throughout the day, the movement of the sun causes the change and movement of the shading on the ground in and around the pergola and the changing visuals of the pergola, so that the division of the voronoi constitutes the connecting factor between the sky and the ground and the change that occurs in this connection throughout the year.

The pergola serves as an entrance gate to the exhibition garden where artists present their works.
